ANSWER: At first glance this cute and busy little critter looks like a baby hummingbird. Look at how he moves! But after further investigation I discovered this bird is a bug impostor! See the antennae and proboscis? He (or she) is a Hummingbird Clearwing Moth (Hemaris Thysbe). Yup, a diurnal moth. Cheeky little bugger!!! And much cuter than a mosquito!

its a huming bird hawk moth, or a hummingbird moth, both of those species look simular, the hummingbird moth has translucent wings as seen in the video so it could most likely be a hummingbird moth

i just saw one of these in my yard. me and my buddy thought it was a hummingbird. and we figured out it was a bug so i typed in hummingbird bug. obviously other ppl think the same thing. whats this thing called?
